Running CHKDSK R CHKDSK F twice in administrator mode no errors or bad sectors found. Running a DEEP antivirusmalware scan on all of my drives, twice, and nothing was found. Running Chrome with the no sandbox attribute, with no effect. Use automatic configuration script, and Use a proxy server within my internet options are not checked. Running Chrome in incognito mode, with no effect. I have tried repairing Window 7 three times, with no effect. Clearing out my memory, 4 times, with no effect. Running CCleaner to clear out my registry, with no effect. Updating my BIOS, with no effect. Insuring that all of my drivers are up to date, with no effect. Using an IP address to resolve a connection, with no effect. And I have restarted my machine about a thousand times, with no effect. While you can use an old installation guide and make a few changes and have it work for you, its better, especially if its your first time installing an operating system alongside another, that you follow a guide tailored for your situation eg. Kali rolling on Windows 1. Kali 2. 0 on Windows 8 on Vmware. Installing an OS is serious business, dont take it lightly, and dont get discouraged if you fail at first. Also, backup your data if youre going for a dual boot. Command Line Interface. Now, if you are really sure about becoming a hacker, you have to get used to linux, and specifically the command line interface. It is often compared to and rightly so to command prompt of Windows, but Linux cli is much efficient and better than command prompt. What you have to do is do all the usual tasks you do in Windows in cli of Linux.
